Prayer for the Week: Is This Person The One?

Lord, I come before you now lifting up this person to You. You know who my future spouse is so I trust You to show me if this person is the one (James 1:5-6). Lord I pray for Your Voice to silence those that are not of You (1 John 4:1). As I seek guidance from the people You have placed in my life to help guide me, I pray for an unbiased opinion on my situation (Prov. 11:14). I have come to know this person in many ways, spent time with this person, love, care for, and truly feel like they may be the one.

Lord, I ask for Your will to be done in this relationship. If this person is not for me, please let me know before I continue to see them and have deeper feelings for them. Lord, I pray You open my mind, heart, and eyes to what You see. Teach me what to look for. I trust in the Spirit You have given me, to help guide and direct my ways (John 14:26). I do not want to go against who and what You have for me (Prov. 1:7).

I pray during this time of waiting I will not fall into temptation (Luke 22:40). Help me on this path of remaining sexually pure. I will constantly meditate on Your Word so it is written on my heart and can be used for battle against the enemy (Psalm 119:11).

I pray all these things in the MIGHTY name of Jesus, Amen!
