Teenage Prayers: You are Loved!

Prayer of the Day: You are loved!

Lord, help me to remember that no matter what I do, my actions will never separate Your love from me. I can come to You exactly as I am, broken, hurt, sad, angry. Even if I feel worthless, dirty, ashamed, or feel unworthy of Your love, I know that You will accept me just as I am. I also know that even though You will meet me where I am, You love me enough NOT to leave me where I am. I need to MOVE in order to experience the abundant life You have for me.

Lord, I pray for those that have hurt me. I pray against any unforgiveness in my heart that is trying to hold me prisoner. I pray that regardless of what people have said or done to me this is no representation of who You are as the Almighty God. I pray that I can immerse myself in who You are by reading the bible, listening to preachers, asking questions, fellowshipping with other believers so that I can learn and recognize Your voice when you speak to my heart. Lord, please don’t let me take for granted what Your son did on the cross. I know sometimes it can feel like just a story but I need to remember that it was a serious sacrifice because You love me that much.

I pray all these things in Jesus’ name. Amen!

Scripture Verse:

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39, NIV).

Meaning:

NOTHING! Absolutely nothing can separate you from the love God has for you!! Not even the creepy demons!

Scripture Verse:

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10, NIV).

Meaning:

The enemy, Satan, Lucifer, whatever you want to call him, wants to destroy your image of God by the actions of other people or even your own. Jesus said He came so your life will be THAT much more amazing and fulfilling. If you are not living this kind of life, then you need to ask God to help you see what’s wrong so as a unit you guys can fix it.

Scripture Verse:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16, NIV).

Meaning:

Exactly what it says, He loved you SO much that He gave his son…his one and only Son…so you can have life. Don’t take this scripture for granted!! This scripture has POWER!
