Self-Worth: Thank You Paid For

Self-Worth: Thank You Paid For

I was ringing my items up in the supermarket one morning with my eighteen-month-old daughter when the cashier asked her if she wanted a sticker. Of course she said yes so the cashier gave her one of those, “Thank You Paid For” stickers. She put it right on her little jacket and wore it proudly. The cashier then asked her, “How much are you?” My wise little one with her little hand up in the air said, “Too much, too much!”

Do you know your worth? She knew her worth at eighteen months. You see we have been paid for and the price was expensive. Jesus died so we can all show Satan a little orange sticker on our shirts that say, “Thank You Paid For.” It doesn’t matter what he says, how he lies, how we have been deceived, how we have messed up, or the temptations he places before us. We can’t be bought. The price was “too much”. This should not make us feel like God is throwing this in our faces but rather embrace it as an offering of strength and power against the evil one.

Scripture Verses:

“You were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body” (1 Cor. 6:20).

“God paid a high price for you, so don’t be enslaved by the world” (1 Cor. 7:23).

Jesus, family, ministry, and lots of coffee! My heart comes from being a young teen girl who didn't know much and found Jesus in a dark time. My ministry focuses on the heart of God for this generation to make Godly decisions especially in the area of purity. A blog for all ages because God's Word is eternal and has no age limit!
