Teenage Prayers: Prayer for Wholeness

Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I lift up this prayer for wholeness. I pray to know I am more than just a body. I am a whole person that includes my spirit, soul, and body (1 Thess. 5:23). I cannot separate myself so that my flesh can do what it wants without “strings attached”. My whole being is affected by the choices I make physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I pray against the lies of this world that says I am not worthy to be loved or that only my physical matters.

Lord, I pray that You will refresh me, restore me, and cleanse me from any sexually immoral bondages I may have been a part of, either willingly or unwillingly so I can walk in freedom from anything that will try to hold me to my past. With this freedom, I pray to see the person You created for great things so Your name can be glorified. My body is Your temple so I am called to consecrate it unto You, Lord (1 Cor. 3:16-17). I willingly commit myself to You and Your will for my life.

I also pray to not just look at my physical attributes but to everything that encompasses me. I pray for wholeness in my thinking and acting. I pray for those unique talents You instilled in me to further Your kingdom. I am Your creation. Without the spirit You have given me, I cannot exist and by faith I commit myself to You so I can work for you (James 2:26). I know You are by my side and all around me (Deut. 31:8). I know through You and only by You can I be whole.

I pray against any and all spirits that seek to come against me and make me feel split and broken apart, even those I think make me feel whole but end up ripping me apart. The spirit of sexual immorality, narcissism, unworthiness, depression, lust, anger, murder, suicidal thoughts, and any other forces coming against me from the enemy, from generation curses, from people around me, or anything else the enemy seeks to use. I pray for You to send Your warrior angels down to protect me in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. I know that when I walk I walk with You and Your army. You will not leave me! I am a whole person and I am worthy to be loved! I lift up anything I may have missed in this prayer for wholeness knowing the Spirit will intercede on my behalf.

I pray all these things in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ, amen!

Prayer for Wholeness: Scriptures Verses

“Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.” (1 Cor. 3:16-17)

“For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.” (James 2:26)

“It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” (Deut. 31:8)

“Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thess. 5:23)
