A great teen bible can often be found under a different label that’s not specifically titled, “Teen Bible” and this is one of them. Although Rooted: The NIV Bible for Men is labeled for men, people often don’t realize that young men can be included in that which makes this Bible not only a mens’ bible but also a great teen bible.

The Rooted: The NIV Bible for Men comes with a jacket so it can help protect the Bible when in transportation. We know Bibles, especially a teen bible, can often be thrown into book bags, lockers, or into cars causing damage to the outside. This jacket is thicker material most jackets are made from and seems like it can take the natural wear and tear of a young man carrying around a Bible. If the jacket happens to be lost, the front cover has a great design.

Oftentimes, a teen bible is given as a gift so there is an area where someone can dedicate this bible to a friend, brother, cousin, or themselves. Why not? I know I’ve gifted myself a few Bibles for different seasons of life. It can serve as a memorial unto the Lord especially when Bibles are themed but if you are giving it to someone else, you have the option to leave a great message right at the beginning.

Also, it’s a pretty thick bible which gives it a nice hold. There has been extra information added which is why it is thicker in comparison to a few other bibles. The added information is great in that it can speak to both new believers or those who have been walking in the faith for a while.

There are also small devotional type blurbs called, “Think About” which are aside from the Rooted questions. Also, there are blurbs called, “Knowing God”, which will bring you back to the focus of the Word of God which is God Himself where you get to learn more about His character. Again, making it a great teen bible for young men.

There are reading plans in the back under different themes which I thought was a great addition to have so you don’t have to get overwhelmed searching for one on the Internet and you have it handy so you don’t have to look through your phone to get it because we know looking through our phones can pull us out of bible study for longer than we expected.

You will also get information about bible characters to get an idea of who and what they were about. Also, there is a concordance in the back in case you need to search a word and find the scripture associated with it. Again, another convenience so you don’t have to use your phone and stay unplugged while doing your devotional time.

Overall the Rooted: The NIV Bible for Men is a great teen bible for young men. Whether you are giving it as a gift or keeping it for yourself, the amount of information you get alongside the Word of God will be a blessing to anyone. I would have no issue giving the Rooted: The NIV Bible for Men to my husband to give as a gift to a young man as a teen bible.
