Teenage Prayers: Prayer for Loving Myself
Teenage Prayers: Prayer for Loving Myself
Lord, there are times when I look in the mirror and I don’t like what I see. There is a person I don’t know and not really sure how they got there. I’ve made mistakes and I’m so far from You I can’t bring myself to do anything that will bring me closer to You. Lord help me find my way back to You because I can’t stand what I see and I don’t know where to turn. Help me take a break from whoever is holding me back from my first love and that is You. Help me to see who is there to really help, love, and guide me through this tough patch in my life.
Lord, I pray the next time I look in the mirror I will start to see what You see. I will learn to love the person You created exactly how You created me. With everyone around me telling me how I should act, dress, and talk it can be difficult hearing You through all this noise. I’m tired of living this life I live. I want to be able to look at myself again and feel confident about who You are forming me to be. I don’t want to miss out on Your promises and purpose for my life. There are still promises for me.
Lord, as I turn to You protect me from falling backwards. Help me to push through the uncertain times and rest in Your peace when I don’t have all the answers. Help me to remember those times where You have rescued me before and know You can do it again. I thank You Lord for second chances and the ability to talk to You again.
In the Mighty Name of Jesus, Amen!
Praying Scriptures:
“Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus.” (Acts 3:19-20)
“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.” (John 14:1)
“Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope;?today I declare that I will restore to you double.” (Zech. 9:12).
